Hey look. Mountains! |
It's summer vacation. I have a lot of time on my hands and plenty of it will be spent enjoying Idaho. So I made a bucket list. A summer bucket list. A sucket list. Here goes:
- Road trip to Mexico
- Write a poem every day in June and July
- Seattle
- Tramp it up
- Camp at least thrice
- Catch a fish
- Get a sunburn
- Beat Chad and Dad at golf
- Kiss a girl I haven’t kissed before
- Read a new Dostoyevsky novel
- Invent a sandwich and name it after myself
- Climb a mountain
- National Oldtime Fiddlers Festival (Weiser)
- Learn to shuffle a deck of cards backward
- Pick up free stuff off of craigslist
- Float the Boise River with a cooler
- Whitewater raft
- Start a novel (10 chapters at least)
- Finish Count of Monte Cristo unabridged
- Buy illegal fireworks
- Feed ducks
- See two Shakespeare plays
- Eat Basque food (Epi’s)
- Yellowstone
- Attend Northwest Rib Fest
- See Jimmy Eat World in Concert
- Finally go to a race at Meridian Speedway
- Run through the sprinklers
- Translate another book of Lacerda’s poems
- Go to a drive-in movie
- See Parma
- Shoot a TV
- Cook a vegetarian meal and make fun of it
- Experience a new snow cone flavor
- Create a graffiti tag
- Tag something
- Wear camo
- Make and play a game of Giant Jenga
- Sharpie art a pair of white sneakers
- Watch fifteen westerns
I have a really good feeling about this.

I want to join in on the Mexico roadtrip! As for Seattle, I'll be in that area the first full week in August. I don't know about ID, but illegal fireworks are SUPER easy to get in WA on Indian reservations. 28, 30, 32, 33, 38, and 39 sound epically fun. Yep, You're going to have a blast this summer. Makes me want to make my own sucket list.
I'll be in Seattle periodically, too. I can show you around if I'm around.
The Shakespeare Festival is the way to go to see the Shakespeare plays in Cedar City--awesome! I love your list immensely, and I hope you get a chance to do several of them!
